Why I Started Memory Glow Candles: Finding Light After Loss

In the quiet moments, when the world feels overwhelming or still, a single candle can change everything. It can warm a room, stir a memory, bring comfort, or offer hope. That’s what candles have always meant to me—small lights that pierce through the dark.

I started Memory Glow Candles not just as a business, but as a personal mission—born from deep loss, profound love, and the need to create something beautiful out of pain.

Over the years, I’ve walked through grief that many might not fully understand. I’ve lost children—my son Ryan shortly after birth, and my son Dustin to cancer. Their absence left a quiet space in my heart that nothing else could fill. And yet, in that space, something remarkable began to grow. I began to notice how certain scents—warm vanilla, cedarwood, rose, fresh linen—could transport me back to moments I thought were lost forever. The smell of sugar cookies brought me back to Christmas mornings. A hint of lavender reminded me of bedtime routines and gentle prayers. These weren’t just fragrances—they were memories, glowing softly in the background of my life.

That’s when I knew I wanted to create candles that weren’t just products—but experiences. I wanted to craft candles that stirred the soul, evoked memories, and offered comfort to others walking through their own chapters of joy, loss, and hope.

Memory Glow Candles is my way of sharing that light with the world. Each candle is made in small batches with high-quality ingredients, premium wicks, and carefully selected fragrance blends. Every scent tells a story—some nostalgic, some soothing, some filled with joy—and every candle is created with intention, love, and a quiet prayer for the person who lights it.

This business is for anyone who has ever lit a candle for someone they miss. For anyone who finds peace in soft light and sweet memories. And for anyone who needs a reminder that beauty can grow even from sorrow.

Thank you for being here. I’m so honored to share this journey with you.

With warmth and light,
