The Real Reason Your Candle Works, Smells Amazing—and Stays Safe
At Memory Glow Candles, we're not just candle makers—we’re candle testers, wax nerds, wick whisperers, and fragrance perfectionists. Behind every peaceful flicker you enjoy is a whole lot of behind-the-scenes science (and soot).
Yes, we really do test every single candle to the point of no return.
So... Why All the Testing?
Each candle is a delicate balance of four key elements:
-
Wax (we use a proprietary, eco-luxury blend)
-
Wick (chosen specifically for each vessel)
-
Vessel (every size, shape, and material burns differently)
-
Fragrance oil (each scent affects how the candle performs)
When one variable changes, the whole equation shifts—so we test again. And again. And sometimes again. If we get a new batch of wax or a different lot of fragrance oil? Yup, we start the process over.
Not Just for Looks (Though They Look Great Too)
Testing isn’t just about making sure the candle burns evenly and smells good (though that’s part of it). It’s also about:
-
Preventing overheating or tunneling
-
Ensuring the wick doesn’t mushroom, drown, or soot too heavily
-
Maximizing scent throw while maintaining a clean, consistent burn
-
Making sure you get the longest, safest burn possible
Basically, we burn these babies into the ground—so yours doesn’t have to.
What Does That Mean for You?
It means when you light a Memory Glow Candle, you can trust it’s been:
-
Thoroughly tested in its exact wax/wick/scent combo
-
Quality checked for performance, safety, and longevity
-
Created to fill your space with comfort—not smoke
We Take It Personally
We’re not trying to mass-produce something fast and flashy. We’re crafting candles to bring peace, joy, and a little luxury into your day—and that means doing the hard (and sometimes melty) work to get it right.
So if you ever wondered why our candles perform so well, now you know: they’ve been through the fire... literally.
With light and care,
Julie
